The reason I bought and read the book was because of the title: A Tale of the Christ. About half way through the book, I did a Google Search on it and found|About the Author||Lewis "Lew" Wallace (1827-1905) was a lawyer, governor, Union general in the American Civil War, American statesman, and author, best remembered for his historical novel, Ben-Hur.
